My dear Sister
When will
you write me another letter this
will be the 3rd you have recd from
me since you wrote me one;
I thought you do not answer
all my letters through ceremony
you should through Gratitude
You need not send the shirts be=
=fore you come. My Father I am
sorry to tell you is not better than
he was when I wrote you last
Sunday, he has not had any advice
yet, but I think he will have
if he is not better soon – The
little Wainwrights have been
visiting here to-day, they are nice
little boys, we had a little
Lottery

Thos fell out of a Tree some
days since, & hurt his leg it is
getting better now, Mrs Shepherd
gave us something to dress it with
which he likes very well as it
does not smart Miss Mili=
=cent Nicholson has been stay=
=ing at Mr S’s some days, & left
to-day, we saw a good deal of her
whilst she was here, & she was
near sleeping here one night,
& some thought that I was disappoint=
=ed & out of temper because she
did not – I am very glad to
find so short a time has to elapse
before you come home. Jas
breaks up the same day you do.
A Fletcher is to go to Miss L’S

School – Miss Foster will be
obliged to you to buy some [illeg]
patterns for work here with
you, if you can get any, she
desires her respects
My Father has had a letter
Today froma Genl in Lord
Miltons interest, soliciting
him to go to York to vote for
Ld M – supposing him to be
free of that shire because of the
Little Estate in the Great
Houghton – If Jas was 21 he
would go to give Ld M a {?Plumper}
Wilberforce & Lascelles Coalesce

Reprimanding her for not writing enough, she should be grateful for receiving so many letters, telling her not to send the shirts she has been making, she can bring them with her, Thomas fell out of a tree and hurt his leg, the Wainwright's children are nice, they have been visited by Millicent Nicholson who didn't stay the night
