My Dear Mary Ann
I was disappointed
in not hearing from you by my Uncle
I am afraid you will be tired of re=
=ceiving letters from me, but I assure
you I am not fatigued with reading
your replies; for you do not write so
frequently as I should wish you to do.
Mr Roberts is very ill of the Gout;
I think it must be a very painful
complaint. I hear that you are begin=
=ning to be Gamesters at Gateacre, as we
continue at Travis Mill. This is the
fourth letter I have written to day, and
indeed, I feel inclined to resign my pen
[new page]
I must now conclude with wishing you
