I was Glad to Receive a
Letter from you, we have not yet fixd the
time for Coming to Gateacre, whenever I come
shall by Happy to find you Live Like Brothers
& Sisters, in peace & Harmony, you my Dear
James shou’d be very cautious in your Be=
=haviour, you have Two younger Brothers will
Naturally Copy after you, I am sure you wou’d
wish them to be Good Boys, you must Endeavour
to set them an Example, your Uncle Hatfield
is much Better, we are going to Dine at Mr
Meanleys, your Uncle accompanies us, tomorrow
We go to Mr R Potters, Doctr Barns meets us there
On Tuesday we was at Mr Roberts, you will
say we have been very Gay, I shall be glad

Trouble when old people Goes out
We expect the servant will Return to day
Give my Love to your Father & Sisters tell
