My Mother orders me to put of ye appointment for
Mrs Johnsons, till to morrow, she is just going to Ldy Cowpers, but comes back
to Dinner; we shall be alone all ye afternoon, & if you are Charitably dispos’d
& not otherwise, more agreeably Engag’d, you may come & sit wth us: I dare
say my yesterdays Billit surpriz’d you – but I cannot If I would go back
from ye assurances I have given you, & wt I take to be an ill sign in
my Self, I find no hopes that I can ever Repeat – your Last Letter was
rather too free – But I am but just up, not half awake, & so can only
add that I am with proper Distances
