We got well
home the day after we
left you, when we were
about half a mile from
Liverpool the Poney
broke loose and it was
almost an hour before
we got it again, I shall

send this letter by Mr
Meanley who is going
to Liverpool soon and
he says he will carry
it for me, please to give
my love to Bessey and
James I believe Jona
than is writing to
James – do you ever play at burn ball I

think it is a very nice
game Mr Nicholson
and little Robert were
here at tea yesterday
he is a very fat Boy
Jonathan is having
a new saddle made
Miss Roberts desires her love to you all

She arrived home safe, but half a mile from Liverpool the pony escaped and it took almost an hour to get it back, asking if they ever play burn ball, providing an update on various visitors
