are well, the hothouse
gets on but slowly at
present, we are expect
ing your Father here
soon we have had very
pleasant weather lately

our garden is in a
rough state. I can play
six tunes on the violin
I have a smaller fid
dle than I had at first
and I like it much bet
ter – we have some
Lombardy Poplars
planted by the meadow

side, ask your Father
to bring you with him
to Manchester when
he comes. Mr and Mrs
Griffiths are very
well Mr G has been
raising his garden
wall farewell from yr
