long a time to Mid
summer that I do not
know whether we
shall come to fetch

Tom home or not
our Hot house is not
finished yet it is such
wet weather that
the men cannot go
on with it I am
reading the History
[new page]
of Columbus I think
it is a very nice book
I shall send this letter
by my Father who
is going to Liverpool
today – please to
write to me soon
Tom and Jonathan
