I thank you my dear Mary
Ann for so often thinking of me it
will always give me pleasure to be
favored with your letters I could
not think of omitting so good
an Opportunity as {^that} of writing by
your Cousins they are in great
Spirits with the thoughts of their
Journey & having the pleasure
of enjoying their Brother & your
Company so soon, I hope they will
find you all well & then I doubt not
but you will enjoy your time very
happily together, I shall have a
great loss of your Cousins Company
as I never like to see the House
without them I should be very
glad to see you; if your Father &

Mother could spare you for a
little time, I should wish them to
make it agreeable to themselves,
it is some time since I heard from
your Grandmother, I am sorry
she cannot {?leave} home this
summer my Father {?talkes} of him
a {?Stalking} a [illeg] to see my 2 Aunts
in a little while, it will be very
agreeable to see them, Betsy &
Jonathan are to drink tea with
us they are having a holiday to day,
I am going to dine at Mrs Meanless’
tomorrow Mrs Fleetwood is there –
they drank tea with us on Tuesday
we are just begun of our {?hey}
Jonathan & Bett have had a busy
Day I am very glad to hear your
Little Brother is got so stout &
I hope I shall be able to pay you
a visit some time this summer

Thanking Mary-Ann for remembering her with a letter, telling her of her cousin's high spirits at the thought of seeing their brother and her soon, she will miss them when they go, providing details of visits from mutual friends and acquaintances, she is glad to hear that Mary-Ann's brother is so stout, she has to stop writing because it is nearly dark and she has a bad pen.
