Dear Cousin, Mariann Nicholson
I was very glad to receive a letter form you I shall
be glad to see James when I come to your house
I think you often write your letters after tea,
Jonathan is reaching the chairs to the table he has
been to chapel in a coach this morning I went to
sit with my Aunt Mary because I have got a
cold, -- I suppose my Uncle Tom will come go
tomorrow and I shall {^send} this letter by him – I think
papa will take me with him to {?Gatoache} when
he fetches Tom home – Joseph Turner is
gone to school again, - I saw Richard Roberts
the other day he was very well – how does
your Mother, - we are all very well here –
give my love to Miss Hannah Roberts –
and to your Mother, - farewell I am
your affectionate Cousin
