My dear Cousin
I am happy in having so
early an opportunity of acknowledging the
receipt of your handsome present and
for which pray accept my most sincere
thanks I feel myself greatly indetved
to you for so unexpected a mark of
your [deleted] kindness & perhaps
it will remove the fears which you
express if I just say that the valuable
article is in my estimation perfectly
complete. I was disappointed not to
see you & my uncle in London at
Christmas but I entertain a hope that
it is only a pleasure deserved to some
early period. Rebekah is quite well
& were she here doubtless would unite
with us in love to you. I remain

glad to see her as you may suppose
