I recd your Letter with a parcel – Mrs Wilsons
Account with 3{^£}, 4{^s}, 0 – which I paid my Father, an acknowledgement
I shall bring with me – Likewise the several Account with Mr Jones
Shoemaker inclosed 2{^3}, 5{^s}, 6{^d} – upon Reckoning the Accounts together
I found they amounted to 2{^£}, 10{^s}, 0{^d} and your Slippers ordered would be
5{^s}/6{^d} more I wished to inform you of this which will be rectified
when I have the pleasure {^of seeing you} I shall settle the whole - & bring
Receipts accordingly I am much obliged by your kind Letter –
and your repeated Civilities to Mr D and my dr Eliza. I
wish it was in my Power to return the Obligation in the manner
My Heart would dictate but a grateful sense I hope ever to
Retain – I am happy in hearing repeatedly of your Health &c –
Of Mrs Wilsons Miss Spear & our other Manchester Friends – We
Have not got my sister & Mary Ann from Liverpool tho latter
I think a good deal grown and Improved in many respects –
she is to stop here a while and my Sister Eliza is to return
with me. I have made a very long stay here much longer than
I purposed – But my time upon the whole has been spent very
agreeably – I expect Mr D to come for a few days and to Accom=
=pany home – I had thought of seeing him as to day – but this
morning brought me a Letter informing me business wou’d
prevent him being here till Wednesday next – I shou’d be
very much obliged in his absence if you cou’d conveniently

call now and then at our House – I had yesterday very unex=
=pectedly the pleasure of seeing Mr & Mrs Roberts - & Mrs Edwards. My
Mother and I spent about ½ and hour with them at the White
Lion – they set of again this morning at 5 oClock to Shrewsbury
their Route in the whole before their return to Manchester will
be about 200 Miles – they travel in Mrs Edwards Carriage to
London – Mr Armitages Family are in tolerable health and the rest
of our Chester friends – all who know you beg their kind respects
Mrs Turner has been so delicate since her confinement she has
been obliged (after endeavouring six Weeks to be a Nurse) to put
her little Boy out to Nurse – she has been so favored as to meet
with a good one – in the Town – she frets very much at parting
with it – My Mother and the Rest of our Family are thro
Mercy well & beg to be remembered to your in the kindest
manner and to Mr & Mrs Clegg Mr Bateman Mr Spears Family
&c in which I beg to join & Love to your Sweet Boy –
Margaretta comes on delightfully she grows very fat & has walked
a few yards at a time frequently I hope before I return she
will turn out quite herself – I hope you will receive your
Slippers safe & that they will fit you - I gave very Particular
