Miss Dix
Pursuant by your promise I have earnently expected either your Company or a Line since Wednesday - week, but not having either I had [? designed] seeing you to know if I had offended in any Shape, but am prevented by the happy Release of my Grandfather out of all his misery, which happened Yesterday Morning about 8 O'Clock; he will not be keep longer than Sunday or Monday which I inform you of as I suppose you will [illeg] to see him.
