Miss Dix,
As nothing is sertain in life but death, so the hopes of your company this day is frustrated. My Father, Mother & Company went to Islington, my Sister went to Church with me but was to join them at Islington, so when I parted with her after Church I went to Christ Church which had been sometime & I fancy you was not there: If Illness did not prevent I presume some other good Reason did. if otherwise your better Health is earnestly wished for by him who can hardly see to sign
