I recd yours of ye 14th thank you for yr care & readily excuse yr bad writing & warse spelling by considering yt you are in Love, I cannot come on Saturday & I fear Polly Dix will not for [?in the] Same Post we had a Letter from her signifying she expected to have Sally Soutter to be wth her for [?I.S.] has got ye SmallPox. which I could {^wish you would} know of her & if she comes as proposed to let me know on Saturday [illeg] who will call on you & I will Breakfast wth you on Sunday Morng.
