Revd Richard Cumberland to George Cumberland, 27 August 1778
Richard has been dining with Mr Lambert and family, who are considering putting their son under Richard’s care. Richard thinks that Mrs Lambert is very pretty. Their mother complains often but is in better health than Richard can remember.
