Richard Cumberland to George Cumberland, 23 July 1777
Richard is grateful for George’s letter, which provides both pleasing and disagreeable intelligence about family and friends. He has ‘some beggarly Complaint’ which has not caused him to be confined or call a doctor. The company of his brother will hopefully cure ‘all Imaginary disorders’.
