My Dr Mr Bateman
I am very anxious to hear of your safe arrival
in London & of your success in Business – things
don’t mind here 2 more houses are gone one name
I don’t {^know} but the other is Norman I hope you are
not affected by them – The result of ye interview my
Papa had with Arthur was nothing but to hear
him say “He had done what was his Duty ” he got a
severe talking too I don’t think he’ll soon forget it.
I have little to say tho’ there are subjects enough
& too many of ye kind – however you’ll be glad to
hear we are all thro’ mercy very well – I hope
to hear soon the same account of my Dr B do take
care of yourself & keep up your spirits I hope we
shall be brought thro’ write me very particularly
I am very anxious – We all join in kindest
respects & well wishes for your welfare
