I sho'd have had the Pleasure to {?address} you again
according to your wish before this but the weather has been so bad
and some unpleasent accounts from Holand has prevented My attending
to Ann Lynsdale Business - I have this Day been at Brumpton
Cork House and I enclose you the terms which I think will
do very well & in addition to the Recommendations I have had I
I like the {?Ladies} so well that I wou'd place a Child of my own there,
that is as far as I coud judg from an Hour spent with them.
The School is in its Infantcy as all must who will take our
Ward, I only fear their manners are les Eligant for the Pupil
and She may be like the Jack Daw amongst the Peacocks.
they ' have only twelve Children and two very accomplished
Parlour Boarders
I went again to Mrs Allen at Kensignton where
She was before She is going to move, has no boarders at
present but has a promise of four at Christmas She is a
good kind of woman and able to teach all we want and

will pay great attention to her, but whether this poor
Girl will be most comfortable with the wellbred Lady or
the good kind of Woman you Sr must determine for Her.
one thing I beg if she goes to the Brumpton House that she
come back to me and I will take her there for If yr Coz goes
and takes her in the Cart I am certain If they take her
She will not be treated at any School with proper
respect which she is intitiled and I have endeavoured to
obtain for Her She can go to either of there places Immediatly
I write this in hast that you may have it to Night

Concerning the care and education of Ann Lynsdale, ward of Court of Chancery, allegedly illegitimate daughter of Dr John Taylour. She has been to Brompton Park House (a school where Ann may be sent) and likes it very much.
