Sir,
The Bearer of this is Elizabeth Linsdale,
Mother of the young Lady you are Guardian to;
you was so good the last time we had the conversation
about Her, to say you would Allow Her something; since
that time She Has often been very Ill, & must Have perish'd If
I had not advanc'd Her some Money to Support Her; [?&]
now Winter is come, she can do nothing for her Maintenance
it will be doing her a very great kindness
If you will have the goodness to write me a line, saying
what you mean to Allow Her, I will Advance it Weekly
I am Sir,
Your Humble Servant
