Dear Miss Heatly
Being fully perswaded you are
possess’d of a great share of good nature and solid sense.
Enduces me to take the Liberty of declaring my sincere Love
and regard which I have for you. Pray believe me, when
I say, your person, your behaviour and Conversation is so
agreeable to me, that I was charm’d and delighted the few
times, I had the Honor of being in your company, at my
particular Friends, Mr Lancaster’s, and have thought of you
ever since.
I flatter myself my Character will bear the Strictest Scrutiny
And if you think my person and behaviour agreeable, will
honor me with a few lines, giving some hopes, I shall be the
happiest of Men.
I have the honor to be, Dear Miss
Your most sincere Friend, and
Faithful Lover
Wm Geo. Morris
No 29 Clements Lane
Lombard Street
N.B. According to promise have enclosed two songs which hope
will meet your approbation, should beg it as a favor what
Music you wish for {^to let me know} and you shall have it sent
