Deare daughter
When we past {?Barpot}, the coach was not so troublesome
as it was in yê {?ruged} ways; from thence we came to
to this place in good season, in company of M^r {?Linton}
M^r {?Scarwen} &^c in a {?ly/by} coach, & wold {^have} been {^very} glad to yt
company, having a place to spare. I thinke M^r Ffortescew
(if in earnest) had horses in his stable, to have ridden [illeg]
w^th out (the fatigue off) posting, & cold not well faile of a
{?speake} in one or other coach, but tis like coming west
after yê {?writts} were out; yê meaning there of I did well
understand who am
