Deare S^r
You wonder (I may p^rsume) at my stay in Towne, after having
my horses 5 weekes at unnecessary charges, & to find them home
empty, but time being so far spent, the weather & ways not
incourageing, w^th yê slow pceedings in yr Lincolnshire affaire
I hope may excuse my want of resolution, w^ch will I foresee
[deleted] be laid to my charge. I am told yê Co^ll w^th yr serlfe intend
to be at M^r Snows house, yê end of this month, or beginning of
yê next, there to be met by M^r Ffilmore (I hope by no more)
to hunt & be merry, concluding yê {?decretall} order will be
p^rfected before yt time, for giveing possession, about w^ch ~~I was~~
I was enforst to exert my authority, against M^r Filmores opinion
(even to his being displeased) who wold not have it put in to yê
order. I gave M^r Snow a warrant for a Busk but doe not
know yt twas obayed. M^r Davenport now desiers y^{e^{like for a
stag w^ch must not be refus’d, unless he be willing to stay till you are
on yê spot, by information there are 2 or 300 read deare must make
[illeg] fallow, write I pray if you intend London in yr way, being of

opinion yê want of money may occasion yê parlian^ts
siting before you can get home, w^{h^{I thinke worthy
of most serious consideration. The adverse p^rty doe not
as yet take out any Copey of yê {?Decretall} order, if it
doe stick I purpose to attend yê Register (being so desired
by yr Clarke & solicitor) next weeke. I am glad my
daughter & children are all well for whome w^th yr selfe
