I did not think till ye Recept of your Letter
that I had been so Long Neglectfull in my Respects to
so Dear a Friend & Sisr was very Sorry I had Given Cause
for so kind but Gentle {^a} Rebuke can only say in Vindecation
of my Self it Neither Proceeded from Want of Love or Grattetude
but from near Neglect which am Shure you {^are} Senceable of
but desire youl Chide when I deserve it for woud not be forgetful {^of you}
hath sent ye Tea which hope will pleas as Likewise ye Fans
the Best is 2{^d} a piece ye other 1{^s} {?Do} in all £0.6s.0d shoud be Glad
to now if thay Pleas you Mentiond no price was therefore at
a Loss as there is Mounts as High as 5d: but was willing to be
of {^ye} Safest Side. I hope you had an agreeable jorney to Ashbourn
& found Likewise Left Mrs Cauton & Famialy Well, in your Next
Shoud be Glad to know how Mr Bower Came of in his Troublesom
Affair I am Glad to find Sheffield is so full of Life & Spirit
but Immagine ye Frinch is not now in a Dancing humer for
this Glorious News must have Dampt thire joy & Merth
& Mortifie them with your Rejoyceing Which Immagin was Grate
Shall now Conclude with Returning Thanks for ye Thread also your
Favour & am with Mr Cooper joyning in Duty Love & Respects
