If I had had an opportunity would have written to you before now, but hope
you will excuse me by reason of business I could not omit; I am troubled I cannot
send you Mony by this bearer but I wch I am afraid you are inhave beenwant of {^before now} but I
assure {^you} I have it not, will do it as soon as possible, Hurdlowe & half of Ashenhurst
is set, yE cow {?I} assure will be next Summer where it was last. {?Beck} has given my
FatE. warning to go away; BroE. Franc. & Nance give theire Service to you I am

Thomas regrets that he has been too busy to write. He is currently unable to send Hampton money but assures her that things will be resolved soon. He tells her to burn the letter.
