Bolton October 9th 1758
Hon’d Sir,
I wrote to my Mama the second
of this month, I doubt she has not
receiv’d it, for if she had I think she
wou’d have answer’d it, but perhaps
She had not Leisure. I am very well,
and have been so ever since I came. Please
to ask my Mama to send me my But=
=tons for I am in great want of them.
Please to give my Duty to my Mama,
Love to Sisters & Brother, Compliments
to Miss Perceval & Doctor Kenyon
I am,
Hond Sir,
Your Dutiful Son,

P.S. I shall be greatly obliged to you if you wou’d let me learn to
Draw, for the Person that comes to teach us to write will teach me to Dr[?aw]
upon reasonable Terms.
