My Dear
How cou’d you send Dick to me w^th out one
line You are a negligent monkey, & I had a mind to
have chastis’d you for it by sending back your mercury
with only a verbal message: but my Heart relented &
~~xxxx~~, wou’d have suffer’d more Pain in making you
one moment uneasie, than it cou’d have {^^felt} pleasure in
the Revenge, in short it w^d have been Preying upon its
self, I therefore think my Charity proceeds from self Love
& in this Case no virtue.
I rec^d a letter yesterday from Bludworth to acquaint
me that the P w^d have me wait upon him next Sunday
therefore leave this place to morrow. if I do not con=
=tinue in waiting you may depend upon seeing me
next Tuesday, if I s^d you shall hear from me by the
first Post. My Blessing to my Dear Children & Complim^ts
to y^r sister & M^rs Butler Adieu Dearest Child!
